Our History

Hi, I’m Frank Rinehart. It was always my dream to operate a movie theatre, so when I had the opportunity to purchase the former Cinemaplex in 1991, I wanted to make it a place where everyone would leave happy.

After 10 great years serving the Crawfordsville community with our three 28-foot screens, I finally realized the one improvement that would guarantee satisfaction for every serious and casual moviegoer alike. So in 2001, together with my son and the fine folks over at Sugar Creek Builders, we removed 63 seats from each theatre, leaving only the best 18 behind. No more middle walkway, no more wasted space. All 18 seats were chosen and adjusted as needed so that every seat in the house is also the best one. We added more showtimes to make up for the smaller theatre size, and proudly changed our name to Centerview Cinemas, because here at Centerview, you’ll always get a center view!

Thank you for supporting our theater!
